Suitable replacement for Asus 1005ha
|
| Review Date: February 22, 2010 |
| Reviewer: Richard Slack, |
If you are looking for a suitable replacement or extra power supply for the Asus 1005ha this product works great. I have been looking for an additional charger (one at work, one at home) for the Asus 1005ha and I finally found one. I was tempted a couple times to purchase other power adapters but reviewers had stated it was the wrong size, fell out easily, or had other negative comments. This adapter had not been reviewed yet, but looked similar to the original power adapter.
While the adapter prong that plugs directly into the netbook is approximately 1mm longer than the original power adapter it slides in completely. There is a little click when you get it all the way in. The adapter connects securely to the netbook and will not fall out(same as the original). The netbook goes into AC mode as soon as it is plugged in so I know it is recognizing the adapter. The rectangular box, with the led on the adapter, is the same size as the original. The only difference is it has a green led light instead of the blue. This is a suitable replacement and a good purchase.
As a side note I purchased this adapter through "Power Adapter World." Free shipping, and it arrived in a couple days. |
Identical to OEM

| This charger is identical to the one included with my Eee PC 1005HA. Get out the magnifying glass and compare the labels on the two-same manufacturer, Enertronix,(no, Asus doesn't manufacture A/C adapters)same manufacturer's part #, and every thing else on the label is the same except where the OEM says "ASUS", this one says "AC ADAPTER". The tip fits the socket on my netbook perfectly, and stays plugged in. The shorter two pronged wall plug cord was not a problem because that's a standard power cord, and I had longer ones laying around already. My netbook recognized the adapter when I plugged it in, and acts exactly the same as when I plug in the original. So, basically, this would be the same thing you would get if you spent $40+ for an "ASUS" branded AC adapter, except it has a green LED on it instead of a blue one, and doesn't come with the cool velcro straps to keep the cord rolled up. And costs about half as much! |

| I purchased this to replace the cord on my Eee PC (1005 HAB). I was nervous because I previously purchased a product on a well known auction site that didn't work. This product worked perfectly. I am completely satified. |
Near-perfect replacement for original adapter

| Near perfect replacement for original adapter for my 1101HAB Asus netbook. The adapter that came with it overheats and shuts down. I already had it replaced by a local dealer but it still overheats so I ordered this replacement adapter. The plug is a wee bit long but since it clicks and locks in place it does not fall out when the unit is moved. After fully charging my netbook it was only warm which is normal. I can now travel without fear of an adapter shutting down. |
Plug That Goes Into The Asus Eee 1005HA Netbook Fits Perfectly!!!

I just wanted to let everyone know that this particular power supply for the Asus Eee 1005HA netbook fits perfectly! Some reviews have mentioned that the AC plug fits the netbook, but is a little long. Well, the one I got fits perfectly and is the same length as the original! I was hesitant at first about getting this AC adapter because of that, but figured that this minor cosmetic problem wouldn't affect the actual functionality. I'm glad I went ahead and pulled the trigger and got it, because it is a perfect fit. The only difference with this adapter and the original is this one has a round green LED indicator, which to me isn't that big of a deal. The model number that this one says is: EXA0901XH, which is exactly what the original Asus model number is.
I saw where there is another AC adapter for sale on amazon that is a little bit cheaper (~$17 or so), but I decided to go with this one since it had more positive reviews, and I'm glad I did.
Now I can keep one AC adapter in my bag, and have the other one already setup and connected at home so that I can just plug in the power and my external 22" Samsung LCD monitor!!! No more running off and forgetting the AC adapter at home, just when the netbook is low on battery! Speaking of which, I thought I would be limited to the native 1024 x 600 resolution of the Eee, but if you connect up an external monitor, it will go up to whatever the native resolution of the monitor is, as long as you have enough memory (the video card can use some of your regular RAM to get the resolution and colors that it needs to run larger displays). I upgraded to the 2GB memory stick, so I have plenty of RAM to run my external 22" monitor at the native 1680 x 1050 resolution.
I hope this info is useful to you! |
